The last day of tracking wrapped up with this song. Lauren was out of the studio typing up words to the song and came back just in time—as the players were starting to record the track, shortly before the vocal started!
Normally, if I roll a couple of takes on the song introduction, I just use whichever one turned out best. But the outtakes on this one were funny enough that I asked Roger if it was okay to include them!

I love this song and have been waiting for it to be redone for years. A group called the Heritage Singers did it back in the late 60′s or early 70′s and it was so beautiful. Of course you guys have knocked it out of the ballpark like you usually do and I am thrilled. Absolutely lovely.
