Then, I met a fantastic pianist, Paul Ferrin, the music director for the old PTL Club. He transcribed from JOE TALLEY certain trombone pieces, fast and showy requiring artistrty like ON ward Christian Soldiers, He Took MY sins away, and if Your Heart Keeps Right. I played these as trombone solos years ago throughout midwest and south while sharing my testimony, "I Was A Beatnik." Sounds funny now. Over the years I lost the music and am getting my lip back to some playing semblance to where Iit was , and I would like to see the music reborn just as I was. Can you help locate this music? I miss it and JoeTalley, he and Bill Pierce were my first born again inspirations. A reborn beatnik needs a blast f rom the past - good hearty TB music thanx so much.
